We booked a snowshoe trekking tour of Mount Asahidake with Yuki san. The booking was flexible - weather at the top of the ropeway was too poor so we switched to a trekking course in the forest instead (it was a great experience).

Yuki san was very patient with us when my wife had trouble getting used to snowshoeing in the powder snow. He was also resourceful and quickly repaired the snowshoe that I broke.

This was a once in a lifetime experience that I wouldn't have done on my own without a guide, and Yuki san made it safe and fun.
